Beating-up Procrastination

Start here

There are times when we delay the things without any justified reason and without any proper logic; such delays usually have an impact in our lives. There are things that are uncontrollable, but we can at least control its impact. We shouldn’t let delays create negative impact on our lives. We shouldn’t be the victim of procrastination. It’s always better to attempt certain things rather than being guilty later of not doing it. But the biggest question is why we do it?

1.Mood Swings
Every human being gets mood swing, the biggest reason why we don’t do certain things is our mood. Commonly we find people saying that my mood is off or I don’t feel like doing it. Such things are called mood swings, one of the major reasons of procrastination.

2.Lack of clarity
People at times don’t have clear directions and plan, which make them think that it’s not the right time or not the right way of doing things. They keep delaying it and don’t bother to find out the actual details about the goal which becomes the other reason of procrastination.

3.Fear
There are at times certain reservations and fears that stop us from doing things. We think that we can’t do it and we won’t succeed if we will go ahead and do it.

4.Perfectionist
We usually find people saying that they don’t have the required skills to complete certain tasks. We shouldn’t forget that nobody is perfect in this world. We should try at least. Practice is the only thing which makes things better; not trying is the vaguest reason.

5.Risk
People fear of taking risk, they usually delay things because of this fear. They don’t want to take any risk and tries to maintain their status quo.

In order to be successful we should overcome these fears and try to come out of the comfort shell. There is one simple formula to avoid this attitude and that is “I CAN and I WILL”. Whenever you get into procrastination attack, repeat this phrase and it will be the best remedy.
